Well, here we go. Blog post number one.
It makes sense to let people know who I am, so here goes…
I’m Scott Jackson, I’m a student at the University of Queensland studying for a Bachelor of Information Technology degree, and I’m interested in the following (no particular order):
- Computers (particularly software and games development, but to be honest, most computer- or tech-related things interest me)
- Drumming/Music
- Comedy
- Mathematics (a lot of people don’t like Maths, but I find it extremely interesting – I’m no pro though, and I know it)
Some of you non-real people that are reading this might be asking: Why write a blog? Well, I just want to document my thoughts, and I figured I might as well let everyone else in on it. As for a timetable, I’m going to try writing something at least once a week, although anything could happen. As for what I’m going to write, I honestly don’t know yet, but I’d bet that my writing will involve that list of things I’m interested in.
Other interesting things to know about me: I watch too much television, in twelve minutes I can only name 61 of the original 151 Pokémon, and I have recently rediscovered The Clash after seeing Mick Jones’ new band Carbon/Silicon on Conan a little while ago.
I think that’s it for now. I’m not 100% sure about a name for the blog yet, so for now I’ve named it “I forgot my mantra”, after the sole line delivered by a very young Jeff Goldblum in Woody Allen’s classic 1977 film, Annie Hall.
Yep, that’s it for now.
